This Privacy Policy explains how Special Art Books collects and uses personal information when you visit specialartbooks.com (the "Site"), write to us or sign up for our emails.

CAPITAL S.R.L. is the data controller for the personal information described here.
2. This Site does not sell books
The Site is a catalog. We don't take orders or payments here, and we don't ask for card details. When you click "See price on Amazon", you leave the Site and go to Amazon or another retailer. Any purchase happens on that retailer's website, under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies.
- Necessary cookies are set by Shopify, our platform, to make the Site work, keep it secure and remember your privacy choices. They don't need your consent. Shopify lists them here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies
- Statistics cookies are set by Shopify to measure visits in aggregate, and only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- Newsletter form: it doesn't set cookies. Your email address and your consent are sent to MailerLite only when you submit the form.
- We don't add advertising pixels or third-party analytics to the Site.
You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link in the footer, or by deleting cookies in your browser.
When you click a link to Amazon or to our social media pages, those websites may set their own cookies. Their policies apply.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the Site, who act on our instructions:
- Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Ireland): hosting of the Site and of the contact forms;
- MailerLite: newsletter and delivery of the free printables;
- our email provider, to receive and answer your messages.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in Canada or the United States. In that case the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by the Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
- Messages and rights requests: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer to protect our rights.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: for the time shown in the cookie banner and in the providers' policies.
7. Children
Our books are made for kids, teens and grown-ups, but this Site is meant to be used by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. Parents, teachers and other adults can sign up for the newsletter and the free printables. If you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we'll delete it.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to limit or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect what we did before.
To use your rights, write to support@specialartbooks.com. We answer in English and Italian.
You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority in the country where you live.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
