Join the contestWe just need your email. Unsubscribe anytime.

We love seeing your pages. Colorists already share them in our Facebook group, Special Art - Artwork, and this Halloween we wanted to turn that into a little party.

So here's the idea. Pick a spooky page, color it your way and share it by October 31. Saemi Oliveira, who drew most of these pages, will look at every entry with our team. Then you vote. The three pages with the most votes win Special Art books: five for first place, three for second and two for third.

It's free to join and you don't need to buy anything.

The Special Art Halloween Coloring Contest runs from October 18 to October 31, 2026.

Join the contest and get your 6 pages

How to enter

  1. Get your pages. Sign up with your email on the contest page and we'll send you 6 Halloween pages to color, on us. If you enter on Instagram, TikTok or in our Facebook group, signing up is optional, but it's how you get the pages and, after the contest, our thank-you booklet.
  2. Color one page. Use one of the 6 pages we send you, or a page from Spooky Halloween, Spooky Things or Spooky Christmas, all illustrated by Saemi Oliveira, or from Happy Halloween, illustrated by Inna.
  3. Share it by October 31, 11:59 p.m. ET. A photo, a scan or a short video of your page is fine.

You can share it in one of three places:

  • on Instagram, from a public account: tag @specialart_coloring and add #SpecialArtHalloween;
  • on TikTok, from a public account: tag @specialartbooks and add #SpecialArtHalloween;
  • in our Facebook group, Special Art - Artwork: join the group, then add your page as a comment on the pinned contest post. An admin approves new members, so ask to join a day or two early.

On Instagram and TikTok the tag and the hashtag are a must, or we can't find your page. Please add #contest to your caption too, and keep the post public until we announce the winners. One entry per person, so pick your favorite.

Pick your page

The 6 pages we send you come from Saemi's three spooky books: the little witches from the cover of Spooky Halloween, the Moon card from Spooky Things, a laughing pumpkin from Spooky Christmas and a few more friends. If you already own one of the four contest books, any page from it counts.

A few coloring tips

Use of color counts for 40% of the judges' score, so it's worth a minute of planning. Try a few colors on a scrap of paper before you start on the page.

Orange and purple are the classic Halloween pair: a warm color next to a cool one, so each makes the other stand out. Add a touch of green for leaves and a bright yellow for the moon, and leave a few small spots white, or add white gel pen dots at the end, so the stars sparkle.

Printing your pages? Use the thickest paper your printer takes, at full page size. Markers can go through thin paper, so slip a sheet underneath.

Who picks the winners

Saemi Oliveira (@saemiart) judges the entries together with the Special Art team. She drew Spooky Halloween, Spooky Things and Spooky Christmas, so she knows every line on these pages.

The judges score each eligible page on creativity (40%), use of color (40%) and overall impression (20%), and choose 10 finalists. Before we publish them, we ask each finalist to confirm their age and country in writing.

How winners are chosen: the jury with illustrator Saemi Oliveira picks 10 finalists, people vote November 1 to 3 on Instagram and in our Facebook group, and the 3 winners are announced on November 4
Saemi and our team pick the finalists. Your votes pick the winners.

Then it's your turn to vote

On November 1 we post the 10 finalists, numbered, on Instagram @specialart_coloring and in the same post in our Facebook group. You can vote until November 3, 11:59 p.m. ET by commenting the number of your favorite on either post.

One vote per account on each platform: only your first comment with a number counts. Replies, likes and reactions are not votes. We add up the votes from the two posts, and the three finalists with the most votes win. If two are tied, the judges' score decides.

Votes have to be real. No bots, no bought votes, no vote swaps.

What you can win

First place wins five Special Art books, second place three and third place two. Winners choose them from our titles on the Amazon store of their country, and Amazon ships them. If Amazon can't deliver our books to your country, we'll offer another prize of similar value.

Ten books in all, chosen by the winners.

And there's something for everyone who takes part. If you sign up and share an eligible entry, after the contest we'll email you a digital coloring booklet with about 15 to 20 pages from one of our coloring books. It's our thank-you, not a prize.

We announce the winners on or about November 4, in our Facebook group and on @specialart_coloring, and we contact each winner by direct message or comment. Please reply within 7 days with your shipping address.

Who can enter

The contest is for adults 18 and older who are of legal age where they live. Residents of Italy, Brazil, Portugal and the Province of Quebec can't enter, and the contest is void wherever local law doesn't allow it. Living in one of those places? You can still sign up for the 6 pages and color along with us.

Coloring with your kids? We'd love to see their pages in the "Your Pages" thread of our Facebook group. They aren't contest entries, and please share just the page, with no photos or names of children.

Finalists and winners

We'll add the 10 finalists here on November 1 and the three winners on or about November 4, each with their credit.

Questions about the contest

Do I have to buy a book?

No. No purchase necessary, and buying a book won't increase your chances of winning. You can color one of the 6 pages we send you, on us.

Do I have to follow you?

No. To enter, you only need our tag and #SpecialArtHalloween on Instagram or TikTok, or a comment on the pinned post in our Facebook group. Follow us to see the finalists, vote and get our message if you win.

I live outside the U.S. Can I enter?

Yes, unless you live in Italy, Brazil, Portugal or the Province of Quebec, or wherever contests like this are prohibited by local law. Winners choose their books from our titles on the Amazon store of their country, and Amazon ships them. If Amazon can't deliver our books to your country, we'll offer another prize of similar value.

Can my child enter?

The contest is for adults 18 and older, and each entry is a page colored by the person who posts it. Coloring with your children? Their pages are always welcome in the Your Pages thread of our Facebook group (just the page, please). They aren't contest entries.

How will you use my page?

Your page stays yours. By entering, you let us share it with credit (your name or @handle, as you choose) on our social media, newsletter and website. Want it taken down? Write to support@specialartbooks.com and we'll remove it.
